Myra sold our single family home in Stittsville last month. We were out of the country during the listing and Myra was as well.
Prior to leaving Canada we prepared the home for sale and Myra recommended a professional photographer. When the house was ready we met with Cheryl, Myra’s associate, to install the lockbox on the property.
We kept in constant email and phone communication with Myra who provided us with great advice prior to listing the home (pointers on how to position the furniture, the comparables/listing price discussion, special instructions, description of the home etc). We received all the paperwork via email and returned it to Myra signed via fax. Myra listed our home on MLS and promptly emailed us with the listing in order to verify all the information and show us how it looks. Showing appointments were not an issue as everyone called/emailed Myra (she has her Ottawa cell phone with her at all times) and she promptly called/emailed us with the request and confirmed the showing with the Buyer’s agents. She diligently contacted the agents that showed our home to obtain feedback and we would receive it within a couple of days after each showing. She flawlessly and professionally handled the first offer on our home, which included the right of first refusal, and then a week later another offer, which ended up selling our home at a very satisfactory sell price, only 2 weeks after it listed! During the negotiations we had many phone conversations in regards to the approach, conditions, price and the pros/cons of proceeding with the sale a certain way. There are many agents in Ottawa that do not devote this kind of attention and time to their clients and their listing. Myra has built her reputation based on the complete and competent service that she provides and this is never compromised, regardless if she is in Ottawa at the moment or elsewhere.
Myra being out of the country was never an issue and we don’t feel that the service she provided was at all affected – even if she was in Ottawa all of this communication would be via email and phone as meeting with someone in person (for example to present an offer) is no longer needed in today’s times. She was always very prompt with phone calls and emails so that is what is the most important – that she is continuously available and very responsive both to us and to the other agents. I would be out and about, receiving emails from her on my phone and confirming appointments from my car in the US.
Her associate Cheryl, can install Myra’s sign, deliver feature sheets beautifully designed by Myra, and show the homes to any prospective Buyers that don’t have an agent (there are very few unrepresented Buyers and we didn’t have any that came to our home).
Our selling process was very convenient and effective. We are very happy with the outcome and will definitely recommend Myra’s services.
